This all works pretty good (I occasionally need to unplug/plug the switch because of connection issues but its not a huge deal.) I have set-up Repeater-Bridge on other DD-WRT routers in the past, so I know how to do it. But even the correct set-up steps doesn't always result in a working Repeater-Bridge connection. If you have TWO or more DD-WRT firmware (or Airlink 670W) routers, then you can set-up a WDS system instead of a Repeater-Bridge connection. If you want Repeater Mode, FORGET ATHEROS! My D-Link DIR-825 rev.B1 (Atheros) is a big deception with DD-WRT. No Repeater Bridge Mode option and No Wireless Signal as Client Bridge. DD-WRT Team said the Repeater/Client Bridge is broken at the moment if working with Athero's CPU.

For a secondary router running DD-WRT, the wireless mode must be configured as Repeater Bridge. It will connect to a primary router in AP mode (DD-WRT default) with DHCP Server enabled . Any type of VAP (Virtual Access Point) on the host should work, including a WDS-AP (Atheros) or any VAP including on another RB, but can depend on the host router. If you're upgrading to a faster, stronger wireless router, don't chuck your older Wi-Fi box. With the magic of DD-WRT, you can turn your older wireless router into a range-expanding Wi-Fi repeater
